| Information Ability |
Mapping and non-mapping is made available to all users throughout the organisation. Tailored environments can be designed to suit various groups/departments. The information made to different groups can be controlled by the administrator of the system. |
| Powerful Querying |
Latitude provides powerful querying tools, Colour by Criteria (thematic mapping), Adhoc Inquiries (interrogation of data) and Map Own Query (SQL database queries). Queries are saved in a menu structure allowing users to easily find what they are looking for. |
| Web Mapping |
MapServer is a server side mapping engine that is used to embed mapping into web pages and corporate applications (such as MS Access and Lotus Notes). MapServer allows an organisation to further integrate mapping into thieir everyday activities. |
| Integration |
Latitude API - The Latitude Application Programming Interface allows an ActiveX compliant development envrionment (VB, VBA, Delphi, C++, etc) to integrate with Latitude. A rich suite of GIS functions are available to embed mapping functionality into corporate applications. ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) - Latitude's ODBC abilities allow it to connect and interrogate LIVE to any compliant system, (MS Access, SQL Server, Oracle, dBase etc). Direct Links - Latitude has the power of live links to many information systems including AusSoft's CommuNiTy, Sanderson Authority, GEAC Pathway & TCS, ADI Data Works, Tower Trim, Praxa Gems and more. |
| Maintenance |
LIVE databases can be updated and new layers can be added to the system to provide more information to the users. Links from map objects to plans, documents, reports and photographs can be achieved using File Association. |
| Reporting and Mail Merge Facilities |
Integration to Crystal Reports allows for detailed reports to be created from a selection on the map. Mail Merge is a simple task - just select the Data file and the mail merge word document and the rest is done for you. |
